Accelerated Gas Infrastructure Modernization Program (AGIMP)
Project Description
LCS is in our sixth year of managing our Northeast customer’s AGIMP modernization of their natural gas distribution system. The AGIMP program is designed to eliminate all the remaining outmoded mains and replace them with new plastic or coated steel mains. The program replaces the bare steel services with plastic services and incorporates the Public Utility Commissions’s requirement to move all indoor natural gas meters to the exterior.
The LCS Gas Project Management Office provides program management over the entire AGIMP Program. This includes managing the scope, cost, schedules, estimates, invoice review/approval, closing projects, customer & township outreach, constructability, data/productivity analysis and overseeing materials, permitting and contractor crews. LCS manages six contractor construction companies with a make-up of nearly 50 crews. This is a 20-year program with an approximate end date of 2035.
