Mid-Atlantic Substation Engineering Programs
Project Description
This $7.2M capital spend program was a bundled service package of project management, project controls, and construction management services to replace failing substation oil retention pit facilities, to perform fire protection upgrades to bring them into compliance with customer standards, to install substation snake fences, and to oversee and manage the corrective maintenance program. Within these services, we also managed an engineering study that identified gaps in compliance with the customers substation fire protection standards and developed plans and specs to bring their substations into compliance
Project Highlights
LCS’ attention to managing and understanding costs allowed us to identify opportunities to reduce overall program spend and support our client’s efforts to reduce O&M and Capital spend. In total, LCS identified nearly $600,000 dollars to give back from the program to support this effort.
